When I wrote The Lyrics for coming Alive, I was thinking about what I would want to listen to if I was working out in the gym. I wanted to make a song that could be in an epic movie or commercial, a motivational soundtrack for defeating the odds and being unstoppable. I’m exploring new sounds and I hope you enjoy. Let’s go!
Coming Alive is the first song that GES and I recorded for our upcoming album, Vocal Points, to be released in full on May 23rd, 2025. We linked up in Queens at GES’s studio and recorded Coming Alive with sports, movies, and aspirational visuals in mind. The song has a raw, energetic, aggressive vibe, on-brand with my other motivational mindset-driven tracks. The song was recorded on an Advanced Audio CM800T, a go-to mic for many rappers. GES produced the beat using Ableton. Our collaboration has led to a new boundary-pushing sound that neither of us has created before. The producer-artist collaboration bond is strong on this project and the music speaks for itself. The song has a feature with the music blog EARMILK, and has been added to a handful of large independent playlists, with potential for sync licensing opportunities in the future.
